Alex was the founding CEO of National Ugly Mugs, which supports sex workers when they become victims of crime and advocates for their human rights. He had been a campaigner and activist for equality and human rights since he was a teenager and is currently a local Councillor in Lewisham. His most recent role was working as an adviser to Ed Miliband leading on all his work focusing on tackling inequality and also worked closely with him on the development of his award-winning podcast Reasons To Be Cheerful.
