Big news this week was the EU ruling against mass surveillance powers – coming just after the Government has passed a new law dubbed ‘the Snooper’s Charter’ giving it huge new mass surveillance powers.
The Government will now have to re-think how it balances the human right to personal privacy with protecting national security.
